Represion de la Protesta Social en España / Repression of Social Protest in Spain

Front Line Defenders, una organización irlandesa no gubernamental dedicada a la seguridad y protección de defensores de derechos humanos en todo el mundo, lanza un nuevo video sobre la represión de la protesta social en España en el contexto de los proyectos de reforma de la Ley de Seguridad Ciudadana y el Código Penal.

Front Line Defenders expresa su preocupación sobre la tendencia de represión y criminalización del ejercicio de las libertades de expresión y reunión en España y llama a las autoridades españolas a asegurar que todos aquellos que trabajan en defensa de los derechos de otros de forma pacífica puedan ejercer sus actividades legítimas sin miedo a represalias.

Front Line Defenders, an Irish international human rights organization dedicated to the security and protection of human rights defenders around the world, launches a new video on the repression of social protest in Spain in the context of the draft amendments to the Law of Citizen Security and the Penal Code.

Front Line Defenders is concerned about the trend of repression and criminalization of the exercise of freedom of expression and freedom of assembly in Spain and calls on the Spanish authorities to ensure that all those who work peacefully to defend the rights of others can carry out their legitimate activities without fear of reprisals.
